Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith

JRotCF

‘Salvation is from the Jews.’ - Christ Jesus
‘You do not support the root, but the root supports you.’ - Apostle Paul

Has the Church replaced Israel? Was the Apostle Paul a Christian or a Messianic Jew? What relevance has the Old Testament people of God for the New Testament Church of God? Are there two peoples of God? Whose Messiah is Jesus?

Many Christians have ignored or even denied our Jewish roots. As a result our faith can be impoverished, our discipleship can be weakened and we can miss out on the richness of our identity and salvation in Christ. In this course, we’ll be looking at what the Bible teaches us about four aspects of our Jewish roots.

'I found it fascinating and informative, but also uplifting to my faith, giving a much greater depth and detail to the Jewish roots of Christianity.' SB
'We are not a group of theology graduates and the level was just right for us ordinary thinking people!' AB
'A huge thank you for taking the time and trouble to put all this together in such a great learning opportunity - i thoroughly enjoyed it.' MC
'I am now better equipped to respond to questions around Israel and our responsibilities as Christians.' DP
'Explanation of the different types of Jews and their background was valuable insight. Also your explanation of the language used and how scriptures were written, helped my understanding greatly. I have found this course really, really helpful and enjoyable.' HS
