Rwanda Church Emergency Help - over £4000 raised so far!
The Christian Church in Rwanda is facing a challenging situation, which needs our prayers and support.
Many church buildings still do not meet government regulations that were introduced in 2018 to be completed within 5 years. As a result these church buildings have been closed until they meet the regulations. These include 331 in the Anglican Diocese of Byumba and 18 in the Diocese of Gasabo. Most of these are in rural areas.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of the regulations, the impact is very serious. No services means no offerings, so no income for pastors or for the dioceses. With no resolution in sight, we launched our 'Rwanda 924' appeal and thanks to the generosity of our UK partners more than £4000 has been made available to help meet the practical needs of pastors in our two partner dioceses. Thank You!
If you want to contribute to the Emergency Fund click the Donate button on the right, select the method of payment, tick the Emergency Help Fund and indicate the amount being given or pledged. Then proceed as required.
All donations will be sent to initially meet the personal needs of pastors and their famiiles. Our partner Bishops in Byumba and Gasabo will oversee this.
