Andy Paine
After getting a Creative Arts degree from Leeds University, Andy initially worked for Aylesbury Youth For Christ. He then joined Scripture Union as Evangelist for Essex, Herts and Bucks and helped create and lead programmes at Spring Harvest, Greenbelt and Royal Week.
In 1990, with the help and support of his wife and three friends, Andy set up Damascus Trust with the aim of reaching people who wouldn't normally attend church services. With a purpose-built mobile outreach unit, Andy and DT volunteers travelled around England working with local churches to share the good news of Jesus with young and older alike. It was fun, hard work, challenging and rewarding as we witnessed the power of God at work in people's lives.
Over the years, Andy's Bible teaching developed alongside the evangelism and this became the main focus of Andy's ministry from 2000 onwards. His Bible teaching has been appreciated by churches and individuals in the UK as well as in India, Rwanda and Romania. Since 2019, as a result of the pandemic, Andy now runs two online Bible Teaching courses each year. You can see details of these courses in the Resources section of this website. Andy is married to Liz and they live in Tamworth.
