After getting a Creative Arts degree from Leeds University, Andy worked as Centre Worker for Aylesbury Youth For Christ. He then joined Scripture Union as Evangelist for Essex, Herts and Bucks. During this time, he was involved in creating and leading children's programmes at Spring Harvest, Greenbelt and Royal Week / Take Seven.
In 1990, with the help and support of his wife and three friends, Andy left Scripture Union to set up Damascus Trust with the aim of reaching people who wouldn't normally attend church services. With a purpose-built mobile outreach unit, Andy and DT volunteers travelled around England working with local churches. Setting up in school car parks, shopping centres, village greens, housing estates and agricultural shows, the good news of Jesus was shared with young and older alike. It was fun, hard work, challenging and rewarding as we witnessed the power of God at work in people's lives.
Andy has a preaching and teaching ministry both with churches in the UK as well as with overseas partners. He is married to Liz and they have three grown-up daughters. They have lived in Tamworth since 2014.
